4/21/08 Newsletter Thanks for the huge support on Saturday Canandaigua Lacrosse produced a huge crowd on Saturday to see the Varsity team beat Corning East 15-6. This is only the 2nd time CA has ever beaten Corning East. There were fans of every age group watching the game and I know the team could feel the support! Penn Yan 4/22 Game time is 7pm The Penn Yan Varsity game originally scheduled for 5pm on 4/22 is at 7pm now. This is one of the biggest rivalries in the region and it looks to be a good game. The Booster Club will again be holding their annual Canandaigua Invitational Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday, June 2. This has become a great Canandaigua event every year with over 60 teams from U8 to U14 teams, both boys & girls. It is an all day event at the Academy lower fields, with plenty of lacrosse, food, and fun. We will be featuring a wide variety of vendors. This has turned into a major fundraiser of the Canandaigua Lacrosse Booster Club. It is run by volunteers and we are in need of a huge work force in order to make it as big a success as it has become. We have worked hard to uphold a reputation of one of the finest tournaments in the area. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CONTINUE. Please contact Cindy Alves to let her know how you can volunteer. Everyone is being asked to commit a minimum of 2 hours helping. Thanks!
