Varsity Season Opener to be Broadcast Live on Time Warner Channel 26

The Canandaigua Lacrosse Varsity Season opener this Friday, 4/3, against Orchard Park will be broadcast on Time Warner cable Channel 26 at 7pm. It will also be re-broadcast on Tuesday, 4/7 at 5pm on the same channel. Also if you can get Time Warner Sports Net On Demand (digital channel 214) you can see last year's state semi-final game against Orchard Park. And of course the game will also be broadcast live on the radio, as will all Canandaigua Lacrosse games, called by Joe Lasky on WCGR FM 104.5, AM 1550.

The sportsfive team has picked Canandaigua preseason #1 in the class B polls. Last year Sportsfive picked Canandaigua #1 preseason in Class A and the team never lost the spot.

Canandaigua Alumni News - Local games

There are several local college games of interest coming up that feature Canandaigua Lacrosse Alums. Here are a few:

4/1 4pm: St John Fisher at Ithaca - Both Empire 8 teams are undefeated and are league rivals. St John Fisher is coached by legendary ex-Canandaigua Lacrosse coach John Johnson, and features Canandaigua Lacrosse alumni Dan Serafine, Connor Henderson, Andrew Knoblauch, and Justin Tomzak. Ithaca, ranked as high as #3 in the USILA polls in the country, features senior defenseman Mike Serron, and freshman midfielder Nick Munn.

4/4 1pm: Harvard at Cornell - Harvard includes 2008 Academic All-American defenseman Evan Roth.

4/25 7pm: Hartford at Binghamton - Binghamton features Canandaigua Lacrosse alum senior attackman Chris Mulheron while Hartford will bring freshmen goalie Scott Bement, LSM Ben Knapton, and middie Austin Rogers. This will be senior night in Binghamton in this America East matchup.

And of course our own FLCC will be playing home games on 4/5, 4/11, 4/13, and 4/25. FLCC features Cananadaigua Lacrosse alumni AJ Groot, Brandon Tripp, and Aaron Fingar. They played against Monroe CC on 3/8 which featured CA Lacrosse alum Chris McWilliams.
