Game On! Penn Yan Home Opener at Evans Field 5pm tomorrow

The Canandaigua Lacrosse Varsity Season home opener will go on as scheduled tomorrow, 4/9, at 5pm at Evans Field. The weather and field conditions had put the game in question but things have shaped up nicely and Evans Field is ready to go. This is looking to be another classic as Canandaigua hosts Penn Yan for the last time with league implications. The Booster Club has put together a special kickoff menu at the concession stand. We will have pulled pork sandwiches, Zweigle's hot dogs, salt potatoes, chicken wing pizza, and more. Also available will be Canandaigua Lacrosse Braves Merchandise including hoodies, sweats, hats, camo gear, pants, shirts, umbrellas, and more. The 2009 Canandaigua Lacrosse Program will also be available. Come out to the game and stop at the concession stand to check it out.

Canandaigua Girls Lacrosse - Amongst and Among the Elite

The Canandaigua Girls Lacrosse team will be heading south for a spring lacrosse trip that will see them playing some of the top teams in the US - and I mean TOP. They have 3 games schedules, the first against the current #1 ranked team in the whole country - McDonogh School in Maryland. Next up will be St. Stephens - St Agnes (SSSA) of Virginia, ranked #2 in the country and subject of an article in this month's Lacrosse Magazine regarding them as a major pipeline to top D1 schools. After that the girls get a break and play Good Counsel of Maryland, only ranked #6 in the country. All of these teams are currently in mid-season and undefeated with at least 5 wins. Whatever the outcomes the team is getting exposure to top teams and talent in the country and will only help to improve them. Currently Canandaigua Girls are ranked #21 in the country.
